Mrs. Jackie W. Daughtrey, 86, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away November 9, 2014 at Maple Court Senior Residence Center in Tifton, Georgia. She was born October 2, 1928 in Adel, Georgia to the late Rudolph and Irene Bowden Webb. She lived in Cook County all of her life and was a member of Lenox Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She retired from teaching at Lenox Elementary School and was a member of the Retired Teachers of Cook County.
Mrs. Daughtrey is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Cathy Daughtrey of Lenox; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Daughtrey and Joe Hall of Lenox; five grandchildren: Mandy Yarborough of Ray City, Georgia, Shane Daughtrey of Adel, Common Daughtrey of Tucson, Arizona, Penny Storey of Quitman, Georgia, and Howie Woodall of Lenox; a sister-in-law, Joyce Daughtrey of Lenox; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Parker Daughtrey; a son, Bem Daughtrey; a son-in-law, Charles Holt; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Thelma Daughtrey; and a brother-in-law, Charles Daughtrey.
A funeral service for Mrs. Daughtrey will take place Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 3:30 pm at Lenox Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Robinson and Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Interment will follow at Staunton Cemetery in Lenox. The family will receive friends at Lenox Baptist Church prior to the funeral service from 2:30 until 3:30 pm. Tommy Daughtrey, Chad Sumner, Tink Lindsey, Johnny Lindsey, Van Lindsey, and Mike Lindsey will serve as active pallbearers; Tim Robinson, Chuck Daughtrey, Murray Fender, Joe Lindsey, and Bennie Register will serve as honorary pallbearers.
