Mr. Jacob B. “Jake” McMillan, 78 of Sparks, Georgia passed away on July 30, 2026 at his residence. Mr. McMillan was born on November 30, 1947 in Berrien County. He grew up in Berrien County and lived most of his adult life in Cook County. Mr. McMillan retired from BASF and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Gordon Avenue Baptist Church.

     Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie Griffin McMillan of Sparks; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Lisa McMillan of Orange Park, Florida and Jamie and Lisa McMillan of Sparks; one daughter and son-in-law, Trina and John Nesselhauf of Syracuse, Utah; nine grandchildren: Chloe and Blane Holbrook of Enigma, Georgia, Seth McMillan of Sparks, Josh and Meghan McMillan of Colorado, Allia and Mike Brooks of Jacksonville, Florida, Gracie McMillan of Orange Park, Florida, Jessica and James Devane of Adel, Georgia, Will Davis and Julia Davis, both of Valdosta, Georgia, Erica Nesselhauf and Christian Nesselhauf of Syracuse, Utah; six great grandchildren: J.D. Devane and Ivy Devane both of Adel, Sarah Jade Davis, Lincoln Davis and Conner Davis, all of Valdosta, Lily McMillan of Colorado; one brother, Ray McMillan of Enigma; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Vivien and Don Tucker of Irwinville, Georgia, Kitty and Lamar Stone and Sarah and Glen Jackson, all of Alapaha, Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Mary McMillan of Alapaha, Georgia. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

     Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 1 , 2026 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at the Sparks City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 PM immediately prior to the time of the service at Boone Funeral Home, Inc. 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.  "Beulah Land", "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "Amazing Grace" will be played at the service.
