Mr. Jacob E. "J.E." Joiner, 89, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away January 2, 2018 at his home. He was born in Sparks, Georgia on March 25, 1928 to the late Jacob Edwin Joiner, Sr. and Cleva Griffin Joiner. Mr. Joiner lived most of his life in Stone Mountain where he was retired from the Small Business Administration as an SB1C Auditor and was the owner and operator of three locations of the One-Hour Martinizing Cleaners. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the Korean War where he served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Joiner is survived by his two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jay Joiner of Stone Mountain and Jamie and Ariane Joiner of Buford, Georgia; his companion, Laurette Anne Pooley Joiner of Stone Mountain; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Cline Joiner.

The family received friends Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home North. The funeral service was held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10 AM at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Parker officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Jack and Bettye Joiner sang "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden" and Mrs. Joiner also played piano. Pallbearers were Donald Grimsley, Donnie Vance, Cleve Winsor, Earl Joiner, Ernest Joiner and Ronnie Gray.
