Obituary

Mr. James M. Crosby, Sr., 71, of Adel, Georgia passed away May 30, 2014 at his home. He was born December 19, 1942 in Cochran, Georgia. He lived in Valdosta and Adel the past thirty years. He was a retired grill operator for Waffle House and also served in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife, Paula Moseley Crosby of Adel; a son, J.J. Crosby of Adel; two daughters and a son-in-law: Carla Crosby of Adel, and Leanna and Chris Capps of Pearson, Georgia; and two sisters: Debra Johnson (Jerry) of Valdosta, GA and Pamela Hurst (Junior) of Warner Robins, Georgia. He was prerceded in death by a son, William "Buddy" Crosby, Jr.; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Norrell and Lois Hanley.

The family of Mr. Crosby received friends Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2014 from 3 until 4 pm at New Life Baptist Church in Adel. The funeral service was held immediately following the visitation at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating. Interment followed the funeral service at New Life Church Cemetery. Wayne and Mary Nell Boyette sang "I Want Us to Be Together in Heaven" and "I Call It Home"; Mrs Boyette also played the piano. Larry Wiiloughby, Donnie Crosby, Bubba Massey, Pete Therien, Kevin Norrell, and Dilliard Gandy served as pallbearers. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.boonefunerals.com .
