Mr. James Ray "Ray Ray" Sumner, 76, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.  He was born on November 4, 1944 in Adel, Georgia.  Mr. Sumner's parents were William Grady Sumner and Lucille Ollie Mathis Sumner.  He was a life-long resident of Cook County when he was self-employed in construction.  He was also a Baptist and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Sumner is survived by two brothers: Roy G. Sumner of Adel and Charles Sumner of Keaton Beach, Florida.  Seven nephews and two nieces also survive.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Sumner was preceded in death by two brothers: Grady Eugene Sumner and Allen Wayne Sumner.

In compliance with Mr. Sumner's wishes, he was cremated.  No formal services are scheduled at this time but his family may hold a memorial service at a later date.
