Mr. James Edward Rizer, 58, of Barney, Georgia, passed away on January 14, 2022 at his residence.  Mr. Rizer was born on November 26, 1963 in Miami, Florida to Evon Edward Rizer and Janie Ruth Green Rizer.  He lived most of his life in Brooks County and was a mechanic.

Mr. Rizer is survived by his mother, Mrs. Janie Ruth Green Rizer of Barney; one brother, David F. Rizer of Barney; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Yvonne R. Morris of Jupiter, Florida and Angela and Randy Marshall of Barney; four nieces: Shauna Morris and Nicole Morris both of Jupiter, Florida, Ashlee Goolsby of Barney and Kellee Marshall of Valdosta, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Rizer and his father, Evon Edward Rizer.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Campground Methodist Church Cemetery in Brooks County with Rev. Chad Payne officiating. Interment followed.
