Miss Jan Hiers, 63, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Tifton Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on November 15, 1955 in San Marcus, Texas.  Her parents were the late James Dale Hiers and Marolyn Virginia Goff Hiers Lokey.  Miss Hiers lived most of her life in Berrien County and was a retired LPN after serving many years with Tift General Hospital and Phoebe Worth Hospital.

Miss Hiers is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Dianne Hiers, Tim and Michelle Hiers, all of Lenox; two brothers-in-law: Terry Hayes of Lenox and Vernon Giddens of Adel; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Bosley the Dog.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Debbie Hiers Giddens and Gail Hiers Hayes; and her step-father, Jimmy Olin Lokey.

The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2019 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Don Williams officiating.  Interment followed at Lenox City Cemetery.  Ken Goff, Ronnie Williams, Dale Tyler, Randy Hogan, Terry Hogan and Ferrell Wood served as pallbearers.  Rebecca Sellers played piano, Donnell Sellers played guitar and together they sang "Amazing Grace" and "I Want Us to be Together in Heaven."  The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
