Mrs. Janet Hart Bourn, 73, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on July 2, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  Janet was born on November 25, 1946 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Robert "Bob" Wayne Hart, Jr. and Pauline Cohen Hart.  She lived most of her life in Cook County and was retired from the J.H. Harvey Grocery Company where she worked many years as a cashier.  Mrs. Bourn was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Bourn, and her daughter, Kimberly "Kimmie" Williams Rutland, both of Adel; her step-daughter, Allison Bourn of Pensacola, Florida; seven grandchildren: Jack and Ivy Lindsey of Nashville, Georgia, Michael Lindsey of Lenox, Georgia, Autumn "Audie" Lindsey of Adel, Tristan "Tree" Daniels of Adel, Madison "Maddie" Williams of Tallahassee, Florida, Ty and April Wilkerson of Adel and Bryce "Brycie" Wilkerson of Tifton, Georgia; a step-granddaughter, Ellie Bourn of Pensacola; three great grandchildren: Riley Lindsey of Nashville, Georgia, Harlow Wilkerson and Keenan Wilkerson both of Adel; and one sister, Cherl Hendley of Adel.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Roberts.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Inc., 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel with Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.  Interment followed in the Woodlawn City Cemetery.  Special selections played at the service were "Amazing Grace," "In the Garden" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus;" Sara Morales and Ephraim Gaskins sang "Oceans."  Ty Wilkerson, Jack Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Austin Griner, Mark Gaskins and Tristan Daniels served as pallbearers.  Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home, Inc.
