Mrs. Janette G. Womack, 79, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away on February 23, 2021 at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton.  She was born on January 18, 1942 in Nashville, Georgia, to Joe Carroll "J. C." Godwin, Sr. and Loleeta Hughes Godwin.  She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.  Mrs. Womack was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Mrs. Womack is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Lucretia Womack of Atlanta, Georgia; her daughter and son-in-law: Tina and Stevie Bullard of Hahira, Georgia; two grandsons: Bryson Womack and Dustin Hancock; a brother and sister-in-law: Joe Carroll Godwin, Jr. and Marie Godwin of Lenox; and three sisters: Melba Hancock of Nashville, Zelma Howell of Atlanta, and Judy Stracke of Adel, Georgia.

The funeral service for Mrs. Womack was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) with Mr. Stevie Bullard providing the eulogy and Mr. Steve Simmons providing prayers.  Entombment at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta immediately followed the service.  The family began receiving friends at 10:15 AM at the funeral home on Thursday morning prior to the service.  Special music played during the visitation period included "Unforgettable," "Me and God" and "Mansion Over the Hilltop."  Shane Atwell, Ronnie Williams, Bobby Hancock, John Hancock, Dustin Bullard and Brock Jones served as pallbearers and Dale Hancock, David Howell, Lance Godwin, Bernie Bennett, Chad Ward, Ricky Reed, Jackie Reed and Christian Quiroz served as honorary pallbearers.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
