Mr. Joe Wallace, 82, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away January 11, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.  Mr. Wallace was born on January 5, 1939, in Troutman, North Carolina, to the late Hugh Albert Wallace and Beulah Mary Plyler Wallace.  Mr. Wallace has lived in Cook County for approximately for the last 60 years.  He was a retired truck driver with Trust Joist in Tifton.  Mr. Wallace served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry M. Griffin, and his grandson, Mitchell Griffin, both of Sparks; two brothers: Bryant Wallace of Concord, North Carolina and Michael Wallace of Hickory, North Carolina; three sisters: Mary Church of Yorkstown, Virginia, Macie Woodside and Delores Phillips, both of Statesville, North Carolina.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nell Graves Wallace, and one brother, Robert Wallace.

A graveside service was held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Parker officiating.  Interment followed.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.boonefunerals.com . Boone Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the Wallace family.
