Mr. John Campbell, 69, of Adel, Georgia passed away May 30, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia following a long illness. Mr. Campbell was born November 13, 1945 at Martinsville, Virginia to the late John Raymond Campbell and Bertha Selina Gordon Campbell. He has lived in Cook County since 1981 and had served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Orchard Church of God in Morven, Georgia and a retired flooring contractor.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Thea Swinson Campbell of Adel; one daughter and son-in-law, Selina and Duane Dales of Tifton, Georgia; one son, Shane B. Campbell of St. Petersburg, Florida; his granddaughter, Johnna Danielle Dales of Tifton; two brothers, David M. Campbell of Adel and Carroll Raymond Campbell of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Orchard Church of God, in Morven, Georgia, with Rev. Clarence Rollings and Rev. Bill Cotterial officiating. Interment followed at the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Aaron Covington, Tommy Melnick, Jason Griffis, Junior Miley, Kody Tyson, and Mike Sirmans served as active pallbearers; honorary pallbearers were Harold Spradley, William Davis, Mike Asbell, and Buddy McGill. Ray Stanley played keyboard and Aaron Covington sang "I Didn't Deserve It"; Perfect Grace sang "I Rest in God", "Shouting Victory", "I Made It By Grace", "I've Got More To Go To Heaven For" and "When I Lay My Isaac Down".
