Obituary

Mr. John A. Griner, III, 55, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away April 28, 2015 at Cook Medical Center in Adel, Georgia. He was born December 11, 1959 in Adel to his late parents, John A. Griner, Jr. and Gladys Louise Walker Griner. He was an iron worker and welder for Hunt Industries and lived in Georgia and Florida most of his life.

Mr. Griner is survived by his children: John A. Griner, IV of Jacksonville, Florida, Jimmy Manucy of Arizona, Jennifer Crowe of Jacksonville, Matt Manucy of MacClenny, Florida, Zoe Griner of Branford, Florida, and Gage Griner of Sparks; a brother, David Griner of Sparks; a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Wayne Kiser of Hilliard, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service took place Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Interment followed at Lenox City Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Wayne Auxier, Todd Coker, Bruce Crowe, Jason Walker, Rusty Johnson, and David Griner, Jr. served as pallbearers; members of Freedom Seekers served as honorary pallbearers. "Beulah Land" and "The Anchor Holds" were played at the service; "Go Rest High on That Mountain" was sung at the graveside.
