Mr. John W. Johnson, 85, of Hahira, passed away August 31, 2017 at his home. He was born in Hahira on January 30, 1932. He lived most of his life in South Georgia and Atlanta and served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic during the Korean War and later worked for Delta Airlines as an airplane maintenance supervisor.

Survivors for Mr. Johnson include his three sons and a daughter-in-law: Keith Johnson, Tony Johnson, and Carl and Donna Cash, all of Hahira; five grandchildren: Shane Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Amber Johnson, Gary Childers and Shannon Cash; and a brother, Terry Johnson of Milledgeville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Reva Johnson; his former spouse, June Johnson; and a sister, Juanita Johnson.

In keeping with his withes, Mr. Johnson was cremated. No formal services have been scheduled at this time.
