Mr. Johnny J. Moore, 74, of Adel, passed away Saturday December 16, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1943 in Colquitt County to the late Joseph William and Willie Mae Gibbs Moore. He lived most of his life in Cook County, was a Baptist and worked as a cabinet maker for Fields Custom Cabinets. Mr. Moore also served honorably in the United States Army.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Carolyn Moore of Adel; two sons and daughters-in-law: John and Katie Moore of Kellogg, Idaho and Eddie and Tracy Anderson of Statham, Georgia; two daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and P.T. Rombach of Covington, Louisiana, and Becky and Floyd Rockmore of Tifton; eight grandchildren: John Moore and Erin Moore of Kellogg, ID, Stephen Brindle and Andrew Rombach of Covington, LA, Danielle and John Robison of Good Hope, GA, and Pnut Garren, Kyle Rockmore and Mellisa Rockmore, all of Tifton; three great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Bettie Moore of Adel; and four sisters: Willene Corbett of Adel, Kathryn Davis, Joan Myers and Betty G. Myers, all of Sparks. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Terrell Rockmore; four brothers: Charles Moore, Edgar "Pete" Moore, Joseph Moore and Jimmy "Ronnie" Moore; and three sisters: Mary Frances Harmon, Nelda Sue Rentz and Lynell Moore.
The family received friends Monday December 18, 2017 from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Boone Funeral Home South. A graveside service followed at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Church Cemetery with Rev.
