Mrs. Joyce Friar McEachern, 85, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away August 4, 2015, at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Kennesaw, Georgia. She was born in Lenox on February 27, 1930 to her late parents, John D. and Laura Belle Shaw Friar. She lived in Lenox most of her life where she worked as a homemaker and also worked for the City of Lenox in the office. She attended Lenox Christian Fellowship Church and had membership at Lakeview Baptist Church.
Mrs. McEachern is survived by her son, Ralph McEachern of Kennesaw; two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna McEachern of Kennesaw, and Pamela and Don Whittle of Douglasville, Georgia; three granddaughters: Shelley and Kurt Robbins of Rome, Georgia, Stephanie and Eli Mullis of Valdosta, Amanda and Dan Van Hiel of Roswell, Georgia; and three great-grandchildren: Hunter Robbins, Katie Robbins, and Benton Mullis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Page Floyd McEachern.
The McEachern family received friends Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service took place Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lenox Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Interment followed at Lakeview Church Cemetery. Reuben West, Andrew Harnage, Austin Harnage, Greg Hester, Tommy Stone and Ronnie Bennett served as pallbearers.
