Mrs. Joyce L. Vickers, 76 of Adel, Georgia passed away May 17, 2019 at the Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia.  Mrs. Vickers was born April 5, 1943 in Hahira, Georgia to the late Robert Benjamin Cain and Lottie Lucille Raines Cain. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of the Springhead Baptist Church. Mrs. Vickers had retired from Cook County where she was a certified scale operator.

Mrs. Vickers is survived by her husband, Robert Vickers of Adel; one son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Debra Vickers of Glenville, Georgia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Ronald White of Metter, Georgia and Dana and Dwight Bennett of Hahira, Georgia; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Billie Cain of Hahira; one sister, Faye Riddleberger of Summerville, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Springhead Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Taylor officiating.  Interment followed at the Fellowship Church Cemetery.  Special musical selections played at the service were: "In the Sweet By and By," "Rock of Ages," "Peace in the Valley" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken."  Alex White, Steven Bennett, Casey Vickers, Dennis Griffin, Allen Cain, Clay Spillers and J.T. Tucker served as pallbearers.  Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.
