Mrs. Julia Rountree Roberts, 62, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away May 8, 2015 at her home. She was born February 4, 1953 in Adel, Georgia to the late Cecil and Carolyn Dorcas Roberson Rountree. She lived all of her life in Cook County where she retired as a bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Dennis "Denny" Roberts; a son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Mandy Roberts; two grandchildren, Maggie Claire Roberts and Mollie Roberts, all of Sparks; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Marlene VanBrackle of Adel, and Carol and Dennis Waites of Norman Park, Georgia.

The Roberts family received friends Sunday evening, May 10, 2015 from 6 until 9 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service took place Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Dillard Ensley and Rev. Mike Brannon officiating. Interment followed at Rountree Cemetery. Greg Waites, Jarod Myers, Wayne Griffin, Mike Hampton, Michael Rountree, Daniel Veal, Chip Rountree, Everette Staton, and Jimmy Turner served as pallbearers. Linda Strickland, Moneese Whitaker, and Jimmy Rountree sang "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden"; Linda Strickland also played piano; "Go Rest High on That Mountain" was also played at the service.
