Mr. Grimsley is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Glenda Grimsley of Atlanta, Georgia; a niece, Gillian Mackewich and her husband, Michael, of Buford, South Carolina; a nephew, Donald Grimsley, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Gainesville, Georgia; four great-nieces and great-nephews: Emma Elizabeth Grimsley, Donald "Trey" Grimsley, III, Henry Morgan Grimsley, and John Matthew Grimsley. A host of cousins also survive.
Mr. Grimsley's family received friends Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 6 until 8 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 202 N. Hutchinson Ave. (uptown by courthouse) in Adel. The funeral service took place Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Massee Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Milliken and Mr. Jesse Henderson officiating; Jackie Raley and Jerry Joiner also provided prayers at the service. Interment followed at Longbridge Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Phil and Betty Gibbs sang "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" and Sandra Green played the piano. Jerry Joiner, John Ulm, Ernest Joiner, Jack Joiner, Don Grimsley, Jr., and Michael Mackewich served as pallbearers. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .
