Mr. Julian L. Lasseter, 75, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away May 4, 2015 at his home. He was born July 12, 1939 in Adel, Georgia, to the late Hall Lankford Lasseter and Stella Effie Howell Lasseter. He was a retired meat cutter and lived most of his life in Thomasville where he was a member of Pineland Baptist Church.
Mr. Lasseter is survived by his three sons and two daughters-in-law: Ron and Deanna Lasseter of Ochlocknee, Georgia, Steve and Debbie Lasseter of Thomasville, and Philip Lasseter of St. Augustine, Florida; a daughter, Pam Cersey of Barney, Georgia; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Lasseter of Byron, Georgia; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Erma Jean and Roy Sumner, Mary Nell and Wayne Boyette, and Latrelle Mobley, all of Adel; and a very special friend, Rose Hall of Thomasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice "Jan" Moore Lasseter; and a brother, Gerald Lasseter.
A graveside funeral service for Mr. Lasseter was held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 8879 Val-Del Rd., in Adel, with Rev. Johnny Cooper officiating. Mary Nell and Wayne Boyette sang "It Is Well" at the service. Chris Cersey, Dylan Lasseter, Brent Sumner, Ricky Sumner, Kevin Sumner, Stanley Boyette, Corey Mackie, Scott Mackie, Gary Mackie, Eric Vickers served as pallbearers.
