Miss Katelyn Dove Stone, age 16, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on April 30, 2025, at the Arthur M. Blank campus of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.  Katelyn was born on January14, 2009 in Macon, Georgia.  She has lived all her life in Cook County, was a student and of the Christian faith.

Katelyn is survived by her parents, Leonard "Lyn" C. Stone, IV and Katrina Willis Stone; one brother, Rece Stone; one sister, Chloe Stone; her maternal grandparents, Chuck and Beth Willis; paternal grandparents, Earl and Brenda Courson, all of Adel;  and her "Special Pets": Chase, Tucker and Waffle.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Katelyn was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Leonard C. Stone, III.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday May 5, 2025, at  First Baptist Church of Adel with Mr. Steve Meders providing the eulogy and Rev. Scott Walker officiating.  Interment will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery.  Steve Meders will sing "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and a recording of "We're All in This Together" will be played at the service; Sheila Humber will play piano.  Brian Stone, Clint Stone, Cam Phelps, Chris Morris, Jeremy Thompson and Lee Weaver will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday May 4, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.
