Mrs. Kathy McCranie Green, 59, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. She was born on February 9, 1958 in Adel, Georgia to her late parents, John Howard McCranie and Mary Helen Betts McCranie. Mrs. Green lived in Cook County all of her life and worked for Georgia Home Health of Valdosta as a registered nurse. She was a member of Sparks Baptist Church.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Robert Green of Sparks; two daughters and a son-in-law: Kristi and James Ashworth of Adel and Keri Surrency of Sparks; two grandsons: Tanner Ashworth of Adel and Brody Surrency of Sparks; a sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Carey Norton of Sparks; and two nephews, Austin and Tyler Norton of Sparks.

The Green family received friends Wednesday November 8, 2017 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home North. The funeral service was held Thursday November 9, 2017 at 2 PM in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Sparks City Cemetery. Charlotte Dickerson played piano and sang "I Want Us to be Together in Heaven" with Steve Meders and Mr. Meders also sang "Go Rest High on That Mountain." Brandon Watson, Craig Surrency, Matthew Ashworth, Roger Green, Todd Green, Austin Norton, Tyler Norton and Ricky Moore served as pallbearers.
