Mrs. Katie V. Jones, 93, of Lenox, Georgia passed away on August 17, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.  She was born in Cook County on February 16, 1928 to the late William Horton Lott and Agnes Allen Lott.  Mrs. Jones lived all of her life in Cook County and was retired from Metal Products.  She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and had been attending Lenox Christian Fellowship.

Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law: Cecil Jones and Wayne Jones, both of Lenox, and John and Holly Jones of Lyons, Georgia; two grandchildren: Andrew and Larkin Jones of Charleston, South Carolina and Jamie Michael Jones of Guyton, Georgia; two great grandchildren: Beatty Cecil Jones and Charlotte Frances "Lottie" Jones, both of Charleston.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Cecil Newman Jones; one grandson, Zack Jones; two sisters: Florence Sumner and Hattie Tomlinson; and two brothers, Judge H. W. Lott and Olin Lott.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Visitation was at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Immediately following the service, Mrs. Jones was interred at Pine Grove Church Cemetery.  Andrew Jones, Dane Perkins, Carson Perkins, Phillip Holbrook, Claude Holbrook, Wayne Ellis and Doug Alley served as pallbearers.  Jack and Bettye Joiner sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace;" Mrs. Joiner also played piano.  Additional music for the service included "Go Rest High on That Mountain."
