Mrs. Kay Mauldin Register, 61, of Adel, Georgia passed away on June 19, 2016 at her residence following a short illness. She was born on September 20, 1954 to the late Austin Nelson Mauldin and Winnie Ruth Gibbs Mauldin. Mrs. Register was retired from the Cook Primary School where she was a Pre-K teacher.

She is survived by her husband Roger Register of Adel; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe Jr. and Shea Register of Valdosta, Georgia; two daughters and a son-in-law, Becky Register of Adel and Amanda and Bear Law Of Ellijay, Georgia; four grandchildren: Taylor Scott Sanders and Trevor Mac Sanders of Adel, Sawyer Ross Law of Ellijay, and Katie Ruth Register of Valdosta, two sisters; Diane Desart of Nashville, Georgia and Paula Cross of Cecil, Georgia. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Maudlin.

Visitation was held on Tuesday June 21, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 South Hutchinson Avenue in Adel. Funeral Services took place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Sparks Baptist Church with Rev. William Davis, Rev. Tom Rodgers and Elder Tony Marshall officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn City Cemetery. Wayne and Mary Nell Boyette sang "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art"; the special selection "Above All" was also played. Special music played at the graveside was "Amazing Grace" on bagpipes. The following served as pallbearers: Taylor Scott Sanders, Trevor Mac Sanders, Bear Law, Shawn Sirmans, Jon Register and Christopher Webb.
