Mr. L.V. McClain, 89, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on August 26, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Wilcox County, Georgia on July 12, 1932.  His parents were the late Howard Clifton "H.C." McClain and Mattie Estelle Davidson McClain.  Mr. McClain lived in Cook County for the past 60 years where he was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Adel where he was a choir member for 44 years and also served as a deacon.  He was a retired co-owner of Precision Products and also served honorably in the United States Air Force.

Mr. McClain is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Jones McClain of Adel; two sons and daughters-in-law: Scotty and Cindy McClain of Longmont, Colorado and Terry and Audrey McClain of Adel; five grandchildren: Matthew and Laura McClain of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Jenna and Fredrick Goncharov of Aurora, Colorado, Cole McClain of Adel, Elizabeth McClain of Adel and Caroline McClain of Adel; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard and Carolyn McClain, Charlie and Linda McClain, all of Adel; and a sister, Beth Watson of Pitts, Georgia.

A private graveside service for Mr. McClain was held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 28, 2021 with Rev. Dr. Neal Sweet officiating.  The Men's Three Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations in memory of Mr. McClain be made to First Baptist Church of Adel, 200 E.
