Infant Lacy Shaylin Griffin, 18 months old, of Adel, Georgia, passed away March 21, 2015 at home. She was born September 13, 2013 in Albany, Georgia and has lived most of her life in Cook County.

She is survived by her mother, Kaylin Daniel' Griffin, her father, Michael Vanzant; her grandparents: Doug and Mandy Griffin, and Gail Vanzant, all of Leesburg, Georgia; her great-grandparents: Freddie and Brenda Griffin of Adel, Bob and Myrtle Parsons, Darryl Cannon and Debbie Parker all of Leesburg; her great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Merle Griffin of Adel; her uncles and aunts: Taylor, Tristan, and Lainey Griffin and David Vanzant all of Leesburg; and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service took place Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hendley and Rev. Mike Brannon officiating, and special remarks by family friend Mr. Franklin Luke. The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral service. A graveside service followed at the Leesburg Cemetery at 4:00 pm in Leesburg with a gathering of friends at 3:30 pm. The Crossfire baseball team served as honorary pallbearers. Special selections played at the services were "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away," "Fly," "Jesus Loves Me," "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider."
