Mrs. Lana Boone Griffin, 63, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away August 28, 2016 at her home. She was born November 4, 1952 in Adel, Georgia to her late parents, Ethridge Leroy Boone and Marjorie Ethel Tyson Boone Phelps. She lived most of her life in Cook County where she was a homemaker and member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her loving husband, Danny Griffin of Lenox; two sons, Clay Rutland of Jacksonville, Florida and BoJustin Rutland of Trion, Georgia; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Angie Rutland of Nashville, Georgia, Jill and Scott Blount of Madison, Alabama, Terrie and Tony Dinkins of Naylor, Georgia, and Melody Griffin of Nashville; twelve grandchildren: Gage Clay Rutland, Laken Rutland, Austin Meeler, Dallas Rutland, Alyssa Meeler, Charli Blount, Ethan Blount, Ziva Blount, Tony Dinkins, Victoria Dinkins, Leanna Rutland, Tristan Rutland; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Vernon and Freddie Phelps of Sparks, Georgia, Royce and Patsy Boone of Lenox.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service will take place Thursday September 1, 2016 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Brad McVea, Rev. Don Harris and Dr. Stanley Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Church Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Special selections to be played at the service will be: "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", "Peace in the Valley", "How Great Thou Art", "Where Could I Go But to the Lord" and "Wildfire".
