Ms. Linda Barnes Gore, 69, of Adel, Georgia, passed away October 19, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. She was born September 17, 1946 in Quitman, Georgia to Harry Grady Barnes (late) and Sallie Pike Barnes. She was retired from Nashville Textile where she worked as a seamstress and also worked with BP in Nashville, Georgia. She lived in Adel for many years and was a Methodist.

Ms. Gore is survived by her mother, Sallie Pike Barnes; three daughters: Jackie Gore, Sandy Gore and Vicky Gore, all of Florida; a brother, Jack Barnes of Brooks County; and a very special friend, Jackie Arnold of Adel. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Barnes and Richard Barnes.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sparks City Cemetery with Rev. Christy Bandy officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the funeral service from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.
