Mrs. Linda J. Ritchie, 71, of Hahira, Georgia passed away on March 7, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was born in Hahira on September 28, 1950.  Her parents were Bernard Loran Jefferson and Delia Lenora Bailey Jefferson.  Mrs. Ritchie was a homemaker and lived in Lowndes County her entire life where she attended Hahira Church of God.

Mrs. Ritchie is survived by her husband, Howard Ritchie of Hahira; her son, Glenn Ritchie of Valdosta; a brother, Robert Jefferson and a sister, Delia McCray, both of Valdosta.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ritchie was preceded in death by a son, Jim Eli Ritchie.

Visitation for Mrs. Ritchie was held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia.  Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2022 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home South with Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating.  Interment will follow at Friendship Church Cemetery in Hahira.  Joseph Johnson, Brian Gaskins, Terry Cooper, Jody Hewett, Duane Hewett, and John McCray served as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to The Georgia Sheriffs' Boys Ranch (5671 Boys Ranch Rd.; Hahira, GA 31632 or online at georgiasheriffsyouthfoundation.org ).  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
