It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Moore Solomon, a beloved mother, sister, Sesa, and friend, who fought fiercely against cancer with a bravery that inspired all who knew her. Lisa, 61, departed this life on October 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 28, 1963 in Berrien County to the late Billy Moore and Faye Pafford Moore.
Lisa was known for her servant's heart and unwavering spirit. Her self-sacrificing nature was evident in the countless ways she gave of herself, nurturing those around her. She was a proud mother, whose sons are a testament to her incredible character and the unconditional love she bestowed upon them. Lisa's family was her greatest joy, and her legacy will live on through their lives. Her enthusiasm for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves was infectious, bringing together family and friends for countless game days filled with laughter and celebrations.
Lisa's love was abundant, and her impact on those around her was profound. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Lisa is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Jed and Olivia Solomon and Will and Summer Solomon; her treasured grandsons, Tru Solomon, Cash Solomon, and Cole Goff; her sister Tammy Moore Hill, sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Joe Denly; nieces and nephews Sam Denly, Bella Denly, Maddie Denly, Jessica Moore Verge, Abby (Charlie) Hawkins, and Joseph Denly; great nephews and great niece Charlie Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, and Lucy Hawkins; two aunts Barbara Taylor and Rachel Pafford, many cherished cousins, her work family, and countless friends that meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Gary Moore. As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in knowing that Lisa is finally healed, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 11 at 2:00 pm at Boone Funeral Home in Adel, Georgia with Brother Blair Joiner officiating. Burial followed at the Beulah Church Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday, October 10 from 6-8 pm at Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., Adel, GA). Serving as active pallbearers were Corkey Taylor, Shane Taylor, Dusty Moore, Nick Griffin, Craig Solomon, and Louie Rigal. Honorary pallbearers were Sandy Turner, Vicki Haskins, Joan Clark, Jackie Shierling, and Wanda Martin.
