Mrs. Lonita "Boots" Hutchinson, 96, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on July 31, 2026 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was born on February 8, 1930, in Vero Beach, Florida but lived all of her life in Cook County, specifically the Antioch-Greggs Community.  Mrs. Hutchinson was the daughter of the late Brooks Alderman and the late Ella Dee Folsom Alderman.  She retired from Del-Cook Lumber Company after 38 years of service as a bookkeeper.  She was a Baptist.

     Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by her granddaughter, Shelley Adams Stone and her husband Stuart, of Nashville, Georgia; grandson and his wife, Travas and Alicia Gibbs of Naylor, Georgia; granddaughter and her husband, Amy and Curtis Jones of Naylor; great grandchildren: Kylee Hughes (Carson Rice) , and Kailyn Hughes, all of Nashville, Olivia Badder, Ty Kenny, Jackson Gibbs and Eli Gibbs, all of Naylor, and Andrew Stone of Nashville.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Gerald Lee Hutchinson; her daughter, Beverly Lynn Adams Gibbs; son-in-law, Michael W. Gibbs; brother, J.C. Alderman; sister-in-law, Melba Boyette Alderman; and two nieces, Kaye Alderman Thompson and Carla Alderman.  

     The family will have visitation on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.  A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at Antioch Church Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating.  "Go Rest High on That Mountain" will be played at the graveside and Alicia Gibbs will also sing "Amazing Grace".  Travas Gibbs, Stuart Stone, Eli Gibbs, Carson Rice, Jackson Gibbs and Jim Rader will serve as pallbearers.
