Luel Buckholts Turner, 93, of Lakeland, Florida died on May 10, 2016 at Lakeland Hospice House in Florida after a brief illness.
Born July 23, 1922, in Berrien County, Georgia to the late William and Dona Warren Buckholts, she was a longtime resident Mulberry, Florida and Adel, Georgia. She was a homemaker and also managed rental properties in Mulberry, Florida for many years. Mrs. Turner was a Baptist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Obeta (W.O.) Turner; two brothers, W.H. and Earl Buckholts; one sister, Alta R. Wheeler; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Blenda Ross of Lakeland, Florida and Rita Cyphers of Virginia Beach, Virginia, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Letha Stalvey of St. Simons Island, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County, Georgia on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Her nephew, Rev. Billy Stalvey of Brunswick, Georgia, officiated.
