Mrs. Lynda Smith, 84, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on July 12, 2025, at Berrien County Hospital in Nashville, Georgia. Mrs. Smith was born on September 2, 1940, in Adel, to the late Windol McKinley Bradford and the late Ruth Estelle Cobb Bradford. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was retired from the United States Postal Service. Mrs. Smith was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Adel.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her two sons, Michael Kravec of Jacksonville, Florida and Todd Kravec of Gibsontown, Florida; three grandchildren: Michael Antonio Kravec of Mesa, Arizona, Maegen Kravec of Seffner, Florida, and Ramsey and Holly Kravec of Adel; seven great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Nancy Smith of Adel, and Fredda and Render Folsom of Adel. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Michael Kravec; her second husband, Jack Adleburg; her last husband, Terry Smith; and two sisters, Latrelle Gornto and Margaret Ellen Futch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. Rodney Smith, Lee Folsom, Bruce Gornto, Scotty Williams, Leslie Folsom, Brian Odom and Ralph Gornto will serve as pallbearers. Steve Meders will sing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Go Rest High on that Mountain" at the service.
