Mrs. Margaret Baker, 83, of Cecil, Georgia passed away December 13, 2015 at Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia. She was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 21, 1932 to the late Tom and Opal Helms Beckom and has lived the last 40 years in Cecil. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her step-daughter, Elyse "Sister" Hyams of Warner Robins, Georgia; two Step-sons and daughters-in-law: Ken "Buddy" and Jan Baker of Morven, Georgia, and Lee and Debbie Baker of Cecil; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Bro. Jerry Carter officiating. The family received friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Interment took place at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, Georgia.
