Mrs. Margaret Myers, 89, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away July 27, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cook County on July 11, 1926 to her late parents, Wilford and Pearl Edenfield Overstreet. A lifelong resident of Cook County, Mrs. Myers was a homemaker, retired beautician, and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanne and Grady Bryan, Jr. of Lenox (West Berrien Community), and Donna and David Mainor of Adel; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Harry Whiddon of Sparks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Myers, and two infant sons.
The family received friends Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service took place Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Interment followed at Springhill Church Cemetery. Thomas Mainor, Trey Bryan, Timothy Bryan, Matthew Bryan, Denny Roberts and Aaron Eubanks served as active pallbearers; honoray pallbearers were: Harry Whiddon, Charles McCranie, Gene Sumner, James Ensley, Wayne Shirah, Carl Swift and Jack Joiner. Jack and Bettye Joiner, Carl Pafford and Faye Moore sang "Amazing Grace", "When I Travel My Last My Last Mile", "Lord Remember Me" and "One Day at a Time"; Bettye Joiner played the piano and Jack Joiner played bass.
