Mrs. Margie G. Dorminey, 77, of Adel, Georgia passed away on April 5, 2020 at the John D. Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia.  She was born on May 23, 1942 in Cook County to the late Walter Clifford "Cliff" Guthrie and Gladys Lucille Harrell Guthrie.  Mrs. Dorminey lived all of her life in Cook County and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with Adel Memorial Hospital.  She was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Swords of Thomasville; her son-in-law, Kevin Mallow of Valdosta, Georgia; two granddaughters, Randi Elizabeth Swords of Thomasville and Rachel Swords of Cairo, Georgia; two great granddaughters, Ava Cody and Riley Swords, both of Thomasville, and one great grandson, Bentley Vaughn of Cairo.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. "PeeWee" Dorminey and her daughter, Lisa Mallow.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Antioch Church Cemetery with Rev. Christy Bandy officiating. Interment followed.  The congregation sang "Amazing Grace" at the service.
