Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson, 51, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away January 9, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 11, 1964 to Harold Turner Strickland (late) and Nellie Irene Bettenbough Strickland. She was a homemaker for her family.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Tony Johnson of Hahira; a son, Gary Childers of Quinlan, Texas; mother, Nellie Bettenbough Strickland of Hahira; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Barbara and Robert Fortner, Hazel Hinson, Linda Strickland and Christine Strickland. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Strickland; five brothers: Doug Strickland, David Strickland, James Strickland, Harold E. "Bubba" Strickland and Guy Aaron Bond, Jr.; and a sister, Sandra Clayton.

In keeping with the family's wishes, Mrs. Johnson will be cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
