Mrs. Mary "Elise" Sturdivant, 65, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away May 25, 2019, at the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was born on July 31, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan.  Her parents were the late Joe and Peggy Lee O'Donnell Spencer.  Mrs. Sturdivant lived most of her life in Tift and Cook Counties.  She was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired assembly line worker for Prestolite Wire Company.

Mrs. Sturdivant is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, B.J. and Kelli Bennett of Lenox, Georgia; a daughter and son-in-law, Dotti and B.J. Morrison of Adel, Georgia; her best friend and significant other, Carlton "Chick" Smith of Sparks; eight grandchildren: Christopher Morris, Sr. of St. Augustine, Florida, Christian and Ashley Morris of Valdosta, Cameron Morris of St. Augustine, Christeen Morris of Adel, Hunter Bennett of Nashville, Georgia, Emma Bennett and Kalli Bennett, both of Lenox; two great-grandchildren: Christopher Morris, Jr. of St. Augustine and Lily Morris of Valdosta; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Steve and Linda Spencer, and T.A. Spencer, all of Scottsville, Kentucky; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Gary Trapp of Sparks.  She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Ray Bennett.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Mr. Patrick Smith officiating.  Interment followed at Pinegrove Church Cemetery in Berrien County.  The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.  Hunter Bennett, B.J. Morrison, Steve Spencer, T.A.
