Mrs. Melba Hagberg, 89, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at her home December 19, 2014. She was born April 5, 1925 in Berrien County to the late J. Wiley Rowe and Blannie Ray Rowe. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member Springhead Baptist Church. She also served in the Civil Service as a food manager.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Cuppy of Adel; three grandchildren: Dee and Brian Brock of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert and Laura Cuppy of Ontario, Ohio, and Sheryl Cuppy of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren: Lauren Brock of Colorado Springs and Tyler Cuppy of Ontario, Ohio; and a sister, Eloise Pilcher of Adel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Andrew Hagberg, and a sister, Elenita Bennett.

Mrs. Hagberg's family received friends Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 6 until 8 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. A funeral service for Mrs. Hagberg took place Sunday December 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Boykin and Rev. Joey Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Salem Church Cemetery in Hahira. Fredda and Render Folsom sang "Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me." Jerry Permenter, Stanley Storey, Lee Folsom, Leslie Folsom, Dewayne Dickerson, and Richard Herrin served as pallbearers.
