Ms. Melissa Giddens, 60, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away at her home on February 19, 2021.  She was born in Tifton, Georgia to the late William Raiford Willis and Patricia Ann Lindsey Willis.  Ms. Giddens lived most of her life in South Georgia and was a former registered nurse with Adel Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Giddens is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jonathan and Lydia McDaniel of Adel, and Brett McDaniel of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Landon, Marlee, Jackson and Meri McDaniel, all of Adel; and three brothers and sisters-in-law: Lindsey and Teresa Willis, Bill and Melissa Willis, and Scott and Angie Willis.

A memorial service for Ms. Giddens took place on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating.  In lieu of flowers it was been requested that memorial tributes be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Ms. Giddens.
