Mr. Melvin Wiley, 70, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.  He was born on June 23, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Bernard Horatio Wiley and Edith Meade Wiley.  He was a non-denominational Christian and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era where he worked in telecommunications.

Mr. Wiley is survived by his loving wife, Karen of Adel; five children: Jenny Wiley of Toledo, OH, Denise Riley of Oklahoma City, OK, Jonathan Wiley of Fort Wayne, IN, David Wiley of Adel and Stephen Ravenscroft of Romney, WV; twelve grandchildren; one brother, David WIley; and two sisters: Geri Shaffer and Delores Rodgers.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Surma; a grandson, William Dixon; and a sister, Arlene Turner.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home.
