Mr. Michael D. "Mike" Harnage, age 72, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away on July 15, 2026 at his residence.  Mr. Harnage was born on July 19, 1953 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Arlie Herman Harnage and the late Doris Mae Sanders Harnage.  He lived most of his life in Cook County and was a member of New Life Baptist Church.  Mr. Harnage was retired from Windstream Telecommunications Company where he worked as an engineer with over 38 years of service.

      Mr. Harnage is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Williams Harnage of Sparks; his son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Madison Harnage of Hahira, Georgia; two daughters and one son-in-law, Pam Harnage of Sparks, and Dee Dee and Nick Griffin of Adel Georgia; two grandchildren, Aubrey Griffin of Adel and Vada Jane Harnage of Hahira; one brother and sister-in-law, Arlie and Marily Harnage of Enterprise, Alabama; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Shirley Williams of Lake City, Florida; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Margie and Charles Alston of St. Augustine, Florida, and Sandy and Jim Ladner of Cairo, Georgia.   Several nieces and nephews also survive.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026 at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Payne officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Joe Eunice, Mark Hollifield, Bruce Huffstuttler, Barry Medley, James Nellis and Bernie Shiver will serve as active pallbearers and the Deacons of New Life Baptist Church will sere as honorary pallbearers.
