Mr. Michael S. Day, 54 of Adel, Georgia passed away October 8 2016 at the Cook Medical Center. Mr. Day was born June 20, 1962 in Cook County to Mr. William H. Day and to the late Eunice C. Brooks Day. He was a member of the Adel Church of God and lived all of his life in Cook County. Mr. Day was a meat cutter at Day's Food Mart and Day's Country Diner.

Mr. Day is survived by his father, Mr. William H. Day; brother and sister-in law, Dr. Bill Day and Jeanie Day; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Jerry Kretlow, all of Adel; sister and brother-in-law, Sheree and Rev. Jerry Baldree of Homerville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Adel Church of God. The officiating ministers are Rev. Jerry Baldree and Rev. Ashley Way. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery. Buddy Day, Troy Taylor, Mike Lindsey, Bradley Day, Nathan Baldree and Greg Day will serve as active pallbearers; Jim Taylor, Heath Day, Hiram Day, Scott Jackson, Keith Hall and Stanley Storey will serve as honorary pallbearers. Renee Cassity will play piano and Greg Day will sing "It Is Well With My Soul" and "Midnight Cry"; another special selection to be played at the service will be "Days of Elijah". Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel.
