Mrs. Myrtle Bennett, 86, of Lenox (West Berrien Community), Georgia, passed away January 9, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She was born July 25, 1930 in Berrien County to Frank H. and Sara Wilson Hamilton. She lived all of her life in Berrien County where she attended Faith Ministries in Nashville and was a retired seamstress.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Bennett. She was also preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Mrs. Bennett's family received friends Tuesday evening, January 10, 2017 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service took place Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Simmons and Rev. Don Williams officiating. Interment followed at Pine Grove Church Cemetery. Ryan Spearman, Marty Barfield, McKae Barfield, Guy Vickers, Buddy Pearson and Don Gaskins served as pallbearers. Special musical selections at the service were: "I'll Fly Away", "Wind Beneath My Wing", "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain".
