Mrs. Nadavah "Sis" Flanders, age 89, of Douglas, Georgia formerly of Adel, Georgia, passed away on February 19, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. She was born in Berrien County on March 16, 1935. Her parents were the late Charlie and Idelle Hancock Baldree. Mrs. Flanders lived in Cook County most of her life but has lived the past several years in Douglas. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and was retired from Nashville Mills as a machinist.
Mrs. Flanders is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law: Cynthia Edens of Douglas, Penny and Robert Cooper of Satsuma, Florida, and Angela Watson of Adel; two step-sons: Hollis Flanders of Tifton, Georgia and Donnie Flanders of Palatka, Florida; two step-daughters: Ann Taylor of Adel and Jean Pafford of Thomasville, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Flanders was preceded in death by her husband, John Flanders; a son, Richard Scott Flanders; two daughters: Florence Rutland and Sherry Pearson; two step-sons: Johnny Flanders and Ronnie Flanders; and two brothers: Lelon Baldree and Paul Baldree.
The funeral services for Mrs. Flanders will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Rountree Cemetery located at Evergreen Baptist Church. Visitation will take place at the church from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Colby Brooker, Logan Brooker, Wykeen Knight, Dominic "The Replacement" Knight, Tanner Watson and Darcy Morey will serve as active pallbearers. Jay Brooker, John Flanders, Larry Rutland, Devonte Knight, Jason Bankston, Sevehn Pearson and JohnPaul Flanders will serve as honorary pallbearers. "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," "This World Is Not My Home," "Dancin' in the Sky" and "Amazing Grace" will be played at the service.
