Mrs. Nadine R. Vickers, 76, of Adel, Georgia passed away May 23, 2018 at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.  Mrs. Vickers was born July 9, 1941 in Brooks County to the late William Bennie Rentz and Eleree "Dolly" Treadwell Rentz Stone.  She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Adel.  Mrs. Vickers was retired from the Cook County Board of Education where she was secretary to the Superintendent.

Mrs. Vickers is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby M. "Ray" Vickers, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, of Tallahassee, Florida; two daughters and a son-in-law: Joni and Mike Huffstetler, and Patricia Vickers, all of Adel; seven grandchildren: Daniel and Stephanie McCranie of Auburn, Georgia, Lee and Jessica Wilkerson of Adel, Stephanie McCranie of Jersey City, New Jersey, Kelli Huffstetler of Queens, New York, Michael and Terah Huffstetler of Lincolnton, North Carolina, David Huffstetler of Jacksonville, Florida and Presley Vickers of Tallahassee; and eight great-grandchildren: Emma Wilkerson, Jaxon Wilkerson and Cole Wilkerson, all of Adel, Hailey Huffstetler and Tyler Huffstetler of Jacksonville, Florida, Carrie Huffstetler, Michael Huffstetler, and Kaitlin Huffstetler, all of Lincolnton, North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Murray Vickers, Sr.; two brothers: Ricky Rentz and Danny Rentz; and a sister, Elizabeth "Tiny" Register.

The family received friends Friday evening, May 25, 2018 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.  The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Adel with Rev. Bill Marlette and Rev. Chad Todd officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Joshua Rentz, Donnie Moore, Michael Benefield, Harold Bowers, J. R. Purvis and Doug Stevens served as pallbearers.  Honorary groups were her classmates and the Pink Ladies Auxiliary.  Steve Meders sang "How Great Thou Art" and "It Is Well"; Tim Fausett and Bonnie VanBrackle sang "Great Is Thy Faithfulness"; Sheila Humber was the pianist.
