Mrs. Nelda Ruth Wood, 58 of Lenox, Georgia (West Berrien) passed away February 6, 2023 at the Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wood was born in Tift County to the late James Nelson "Buck" Bennett and Sally Ruth Williams Bennett. She had lived all of her life in the West Berrien Community and had retired from Curtis Packing Company in Tifton, Georgia.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her son, Mark Wood of West Berrien; her daughter, Clara Daniels of Enigma, Georgia; five grandchildren; Monica Wood of Nashville, Georgia; Diego Wood, Abigail "Abi" Daniels, Lucynthia "Lulu" Daniels, Carmen Daniels all of West Berrien; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Elizabeth Bennett, Janie and Roy Rico; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Bennett all of West Berrien. Several nieces, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Danny Bennett.

Funeral services were at 4:00 PM, Sunday; February 12, 2023 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev Mike Bennett officiating. Interment followed in the New River Church Cemetery in West Berrien. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 PM; Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
