Mrs. Nell Reddick Hopper, 92, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. She was born in Brooks County on April 13, 1927 although she lived most of her life in Cook County. Her parents were Nicholas Max "Nick" Reddick and Annis Davis Reddick. Mrs. Hopper was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Adel for many years where she served in many roles including Sunday School Teacher. In her later years she attended Evelyn United Methodist Church of Moultrie, Georgia with her daughter. She was a retired sales clerk for W.B. Wilkes department store.
Mrs. Hopper is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Nick Hopper and Herby and Andrea Hopper, all of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law: Hilda and Harry Price of Moultrie, Georgia, and Amy and Derrell Miller of Port St. Joe, Florida; seven grandchildren: Mark J. Price of Moultrie, Sherry L. and Steve Bermes of Albany, Georgia, Alexandrea Hopper of Adel, Joseph Hopper of Adel, Israel Hopper of Adel, Daniel Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Beth Weeks of Port St. Joe; five great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Beverly Reddick of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hopper; two brothers, Raymond M. Reddick and Charles R. Reddick; two sisters, Dorothy Frances Reddick and Elizabeth Reddick Archer; and a great-grandchild, Gabriel Bermes.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hopper will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) with Rev. Dewey Stalvey and Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sparks City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Mark Price, Joseph Hopper, Israel Hopper, Joel Reddick, Neal Reddick and Jared Reddick will serve as active pallbearers; Dennis Reddick, Dewaine Reddick, Niles Reddick, Daniel Miller and Bo Tucker will serve as honorary pallbearers. Special music selections to be played at the service will be: "In the Garden," "Softly and Tenderly" and "Precious Memories."
