Mrs. Nerine S. McIntyre, 92, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away July 20, 2015 at Cook Senior Living Center in Adel. She was born January 25, 1923 in Lowndes County to the late Walter Scott Shierling, Sr. and Deula Hall Shierling. She lived all of her life in Cook County where she was a member of Sparks United Methodist Church and also retired from the City of Sparks where she served as the city clerk for 14 and a half years.

Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Paula McIntyre of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Eugene Williams, Susie and Bruce Betts, all of Sparks; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Paul "Mac" McIntyre, Sr.; a daughter, Bonnie McIntyre; two brothers: Ralph Shierling, W.S. "Dud" Shierling, Jr.; and three sisters: Nell Shierling, Oma Allen, and Joy Smith.
