Mrs. Norma Denman Hewett, 80, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away Sunday April 9, 20-17 at Cook Senior Living Center in Adel, Georgia. She was born on August 18, 1936 in Folsom, Georgia to the late James Mattison Denman and Ethel Della Newton Denman. Mrs. Hewett lived most of her life in south Georgia and was a homemaker and member of Adel Church of God.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Connie Hewett of Hahira, Georgia; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Walter Ahrens of Sparks; six grandchildren: Wade Ahrens, Whitney Ahrens, Robert and Stacie Dunn, Chris and Elizabeth Dunn, Jode and Christa Hewett, and Josh Hewett; nine great-grandchildren: Lauren Ahrens, Will Ahrens, Cate Ahrens, Zain Hewett, Casen Hewett, Rylan Dunn, Annabelle Dunn, Zach Dunn and Mattison Dunn; and a brother, Dale Pickard of Chatsworth, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hewett was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Able Hewett; a daughter, Vicki Hewett; and a sister, Evelyn Whitfield.
The funeral service was held Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Adel Church of God with Rev. Ashley Way and Rev. Charles Blair officiating. Interment followed at the Hewett Family Cemetery in Hahira. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
