She is survived by her step-son and daughter-in-law, James and Debbie Griffin of Nashville, Georgia; a step-daughter, Patricia Saunders of Adel; nine step-grandchildren: Amy and John Jack, Wendy Griffin, Amanda Griffin, Rena Griffin, Alan Griffin, Mitch and Dawn Griffin, Andy Griffin, Kelly Griffin and Dusty Griffin; five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Griffin; a son, Ernest Paul Griffin; a step-daughter, Shirley Griffin; and two step-sons, Ronald Griffin and Donald Griffin.

A funeral service for Mrs. Griffin was held Thursday October 9, 2014 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Pastor Jean Jack officiating. Interment followed at Sparks City Cemetery. Special selections played at the service were "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Memories". Wayne Griffin, Gerald Griffin, Billy Weeks, Jerry Weeks, Bobby Cook, and Nathan Jack served as pallbearers.
